Parents, try a new way of saying, "How was your day?"
What did you do in school today, dear?
I sharpened my pencil and practiced my cursive.
Then I sharpened my pencil and worked on the Iowa Tests.
Then we had a treat and took an official bathroom break.
After that I sharpened my pencil to correct my Simple Solutions.
YAY! Recess and lunch.
After lunch we did the vocab crossword in our Religion book. I needed a sharp pencil.
Then we went to SPANISH! I didn’t take my pencil so the teacher gave me a crayon.
After Spanish we had another official bathroom break and then got ready for ROCKET MATH.
That pencil was dull again so I stood in line with the rest of the kids.
My teacher says that the pencil sharpener drives her crazy!
I say, quit giving us work to do that needs a sharp pencil!
THANKS TO KAMPBELL'S FAMILY FOR A NEW PENCIL SHARPENER!
