Important Great State Tax Benefit by Making a Scholarship Donation

Individual and corporate taxpayers in the state of Illinois can receive state income credits in the amount of 75% of their total qualified contribution through the new “Invest in Kids Act”.  Scholarship donations by individuals may be designated to Corpus Christi Catholic School or to Central Catholic High School.   For more information visit: https://empowerillinois.org/donors/  Additional information can be found at www.cdop.org under the CATHOLIC EDUCATION tab.

Important SCHOLARSHIP OPPORTUNITIES TO ATTEND OUR CATHOLIC SCHOOLS

This was posted to Empower Illinois' website yesterday regarding Invest In Illinois Scholarship applications. Please continue to monitor the website for updates:  APPLICATION SUSPENDED
The scholarship application will not be activated tonight. Please do not continue to try to access the site as it has been suspended. We do not yet have an update on when the student application will relaunch however we will provide advance notice. We apologize for the inconvenience this has caused students and families.

We knew the demand for quality educational options was strong, but no one estimated the overwhelming statewide demand we saw today. Parents get one chance at a quality education and thousands took every opportunity to make sure their kids were first in line. More than 24,000 families visited the application site within the first few minutes of its availability causing a technology failure. We will continue to do our best to ensure fairness while maintaining compliance with the regulations imposed by the state.

Scholarships offered through the new “Invest in Kids Act” could cover 50 to 100 percent of tuition and eligible charges for your child next year.   Applications will be accepted beginning January 31, 2018   Scholarships will be awarded on a “first come, first serve” basis to eligible students, so it is very important to act quickly!  Key information about the program and application process may be found https://empowerillinois.org/students/, is also available on the diocesan website cdop.org under the CATHOLIC EDUCATION tab.  We look forward to the opportunity to share our Catholic Schools with you.

Important Shadow Day Opportunities - Be a Saint for the Day!

What makes our Catholic School so special? Well, pass the word  — now’s the time to take advantage of a day just for prospective families. You can see first-hand how daily prayer and a faith-based, exceptional academic education can enrich each child’s learning experience.
We welcome prospective students to shadow and "Be a Saint for a Day". Prospective students in kindergarten through eighth grade can spend the day attending academic and special classes along with lunch and recess, or are welcome to just participate for an hour or two. Parents are welcome to join in the shadow as well, or just join us for a school tour.
To schedule a visit, please contact the school at 662-3712.

On behalf of the faith and education community of Corpus Christi, welcome to our website and welcome home to your school.  Please take a walk around our website, contact us and take a walk around our school.  See the difference and believe.

"Community is at the heart of all Catholic education, not simply as a concept to be taught, but as a reality to be lived . . . Your students will learn to understand and appreciate the value of community as they experience love, trust, and loyalty in your school and educational programs, and as they learn to trust all persons as brothers and sisters created by God and redeemed by Christ."
Saint Pope John Paul II

When parents choose a Catholic School for their children, it sets their children apart as a family so committed to their children's education that they are ready to make extraordinary sacrifices. Parents, by making the sacrifice necessary to send their children to Catholic school, show them education is a high priority. Catholic schools provide a loving, loyal environment where the entire community of parents, teachers, students, and parish is committed to academic and personal success. Take a closer look at our school and our site!
